Game Contest #4 WIP

I thought I’d create a WIP thread for this weeks game art contest.

I won the last round so I decided to make things interesting by putting more constraints on the rules (models can’t go above 1800 polys, 254x254 textures etc. etc.) and also having a topic that would make the subject even harder. I would recommend any who’s interested to join up and see what they can do.

I’ll show you my head start. I’ve been tossing around ideas for the past two days, and finally came up with a concept. I’m not going to reveal details yet. I’m just going to show you what I have each time I update and eventually, you’ll be able to tell what it is.

Ah, yes. Turns out that I just proved how bad I am at math.

Any color depth requirement?

No. As I recall, the PSP can display a full color palette.

I’m texturing him as I go. Right now, he sits comfortably at 630 tris. I’m using allot of planes for things such as gears and pipes.
