Is 15,000 triangles good for a prop used in video games or should it be lower?

Re, your question. My answer would be, depends on a lot of things. A prop you say? Where is it? how prominent is it? What’s the game engine like? etc etc.
Funnily enough. I’m in the throws of developing a little VR shooting game for the Oculus meta quest 2. I’m doing some different tests and was gonna start in the range of 1,000 faces/2-3,000 verts maybe per pistol.

I found out that a 15k prop in unreal engine 5 (the engine I’m planning to use) is basically nothing the engine can handle millions of tris.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a VR. However, feel free to use the revolver in your game.
