This isn’t a particular response to any post in this thread, but I must say all of this around AI has killed so much of my enthusiasm for most of my creative projects from artwork, to music, to coding; finding the desire to continue making things in a world that will just scrape it, twist it and make a cheap knock-off mimic in a heartbeat, then claim as their own, and then watch mine and other people’s work sink into the abyss has been very tough.
It’s reassuring to come across threads like this where other people are also saying no.
I love the original list the OP posted. There’s so many issues with AI and I think it’s a tool that has a ton of potential but has been used for all the wrong reasons. There is no reason at all why, as a species, we should be chewing up so much energy and resources to generate cheap commodities. Yet here we are.
Alas, I can’t speak for anyone else but I’m slowly regaining my desire to build my creative passions and threads like this do help. Thank you.
