General introduction into Blender and Object/Product design

Hi all,

here is a link to a YouTube playlist which features a start to end approach for learning and using Blender for product design. The channel starts with the software installation, some basic modeling tasks and then goes more in depths utilizing subdivision surface modeling and rendering for the design process.

Later this semester I will also add videos about 3D printing 3D digitizing and utilizing Fusion 360 in conjunction with Blender.

I hope you find this usefull when you are new to this area:

Enjoy!

Thanks so much for this. I’ve been dabbling with the idea of getting into product rendering. This looks like it’ll give me a good idea as to whether or not it’s something I’d be into.

This if great. Thanks for all the hard work you do for this community, Claas.

Hey there, specifically when we will work with FUsion 360 sending the Blender models into that application and finishing it there you will get another valuable information about how surfaces are designed.

Looking forward to it! I’ve been curious about that program.
