Genereal Question: How are Different Renders Different from Each Other?

Hi, I had a question about renders. How are render engines like Cycles and others different from each other? They all render things but how is one different/better from the other? They each use different algorithms?

There are a lot of threads about the pros and cons of specific render engines, and, of course, the release notes for Blender or the web sites for other render engines will have a lot of information about how they work. You could probably come up with some relevant results by searching on ‘compare render engines’ or something similar.

But, as a general answer to a general question: Yes, they use different algorithms.
