Geo Nodes... "Geometry cannot be retrieved from the modifier object."

I’m following this tutorial:

And get a warning! saying:

“Geometry cannot be retrieved from the modifier object.”

…when I plug the Object Info into the Geometry Proximity.

I’m only about 2:20 into the tutorial.

In the latest daily alpha builds there is a self-object node that you can plug into the Object Info node to get data from the object that has the geonodes modifier

I see your problem. You put the geometry nodes modifier on the text object when you were supposed to put it on the picture object.

Thanks. That works.

In the video at 2:25, it looks like the text object(the 3D highlighted in orange) is selected and the geo nodes are for the text.
