I’m a complete beginner at blender, and I’ve been trying to make the Blender Guru donut for like 5 days now. I’m on the final video on how to render, but once I started this tutorial, I noticed something odd. It looks like the rendered view is using an entirely different seed for the sprinkles than what’s showing in the viewport. It’s giving me a headache because I’m moving these star shapes I made out of the way, but when I press F12, they’re still clipping in the rendered image.
Hi
Haven’t looked at that tutorial but here are some guesses:
Are you using the Is Viewport node anywhere?
Are your render and viewport subdivision settings the different anywhere?
Both those may cause differing point distributions in viewport and render.
Hope that helped.
All of my modifiers are turned on for viewport and rendering. The star shapes don’t have any modifiers on. Here’s the full geo node stack, I tried to get the best screenshot I could.
Do you think any composition nodes could have something to do with it?
This:
Doesn’t answer this very important question:
Like I said, I’m new… There might be something else I’m not checking. When I say “All my modifiers are turned on for viewport and rendering”, I mean that they are turned on for both in the modifier tab:
This is the mod for the icing.
Unless… Are you talking about “Levels Viewport” and “Render”? I just noticed that…
Yep, that’s what is causing the changes
Siiiiiiiighhhhhh… I wish the guy would’ve mentioned that in the dang video. I’m seeing it now
God, now I have to find a new seed and move all the stars again I could be done by now!!!
Thanks for the help man! You too, @zeroskilz !
