I’m getting some strange artifacts on part of my object when rendering.
This was a C4D file that I exported as OBJ.
Attached is the render and the solid viewport.

Could you please share your file?
Sure here is the blend file
thanks
Thank you that fixed it!
Is there a way you could tell that was the issue from selecting the mesh? I kept thinking it might be something like two meshes but couldn’t figure out how to see that.
Glad I could help…
Issues like this almost always point to duplicate geometry or clipping issues…
If you open this file the first things I check are Scale Applied ( big culprit), Normals, and Clipping issues…
While looking at Scale ( tiny objects like this can have clipping issues ( usually a Morie effect visible) or are extremely large, which will vanish if you try to get a closer look…
So Scale was good, clipping was good, and Normals were correct…but noticed the Face count was WAY TOO HIGH for what was on screen 235,584? and dark and light patterns across single faces? …conclusion Duplicate geometry…
Example of what duplicated Geo on a Cube will look like…
It just takes, working with Blender and gaining the (EYE) to spot what the clues to problems are…and experience on how to fix them…
Happy Blending!
PS: Very NICE model BTW!
