Materialize is a stand alone tool for creating materials for use in games from images. You can create an entire material from a single image or import the textures you have and generate the textures you need. … The automation features were developed to quickly open and save multiple texture files.**

So this is a gnarly FOSS program that I really need to make my pipeline complete! I used CrazyBump on Windows before and it was great. But I’m having trouble figuring out what to do to get Materialize to work on LInux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64 Bit. Materialize has been made open source recently. According to Github there was a guy who made a fork for IOS and Linux. Apparently it worked. But it evolved using Play on Linux and Wine, possibly another program. I tried to follow along but It wasn’t successful.

So I want to know if anybody can help me with step-by-step instructions to get this program to work on Linux Mint? This would be an amazing consort to Blender! Thanks for your time! If this could be done, I think many people will appreciate it! :grinning:

It works fine using wine, and in fact I’ve experimented using materialize created maps on one of my older projects to see how well they behave. I can report, quite well.

Wow! Thats really good to here! I’m really excited! :star_struck:Can you give me a step-by-step instructions? So I can do it too! :grinning:
