Basically, I would like to try getting the texture of the first image. Anything I can do to get that look for the rock I used with the “Rock Generator”?

Tried making a rock with the limited knowledge of texturing i have.

Turned out pretty well.
Can you show me the node tree, please? I’d like to make it myself with my own scene.
Here is a try, first I subdivided a cube a bit, gave it a Subsurf and a Displacement modifier (with a Voronoi texture), then used this node setup. Note that the Detail value of the Noise I plugged into the Bump gives all these very useful micro-details:
I’ll try your node setup instead. It doesn’t look as complicated as the other one with the nodes.
I’ll do that as I get some free time from my book WIP.
Is it like this? And which of the three last do I plug into the first node that I have? Please tell me before I am doing something wrong with the setup.
I know it isn’t exactly like how you’ve done it, but I like how it turned out. Thanks for helping me with the nodes. I am already liking the small scene I made already.
I’m going with this rock color I made instead of making it identical to what I originally wanted. That’s also fine, isn’t it?
hard to tell, maybe increase the Noise Detail value a bit
Increased it by 1 till it was on 4 in Detail.
