I’m working on a project with a vehicle similar to the ghost from Halo and I can’t figure out how to make it hover correctly. Help plox?
plox? anyway i would just put a box under ur ghost vehicle and set it to invisible so it would look like it was floating but it wouldn’t be. you then should turn the friction down so it will give more of a floating feel
Seems like a perfect candidate for DYN material settings to me.
If you play the GE in the attached file, the middle cube is a standard rigid-body cube. This drops onto the ground as you would expect it to.
The cube on the right is sensitive to the DYN settings of the ground plane, which are set to make objects float 1 unit above the ground.
To make objects sensitive to materials with DYN settings: Under the physics settings (Logic Panel - F4) click the button which says: “Do Fh”.
To give the ground DYN settings: Select the ground, and edit its material (F5). Click “DYN” (under the main color choosers), and play around with the settings.
The cube on the left moves to the right by hitting the spacebar to prove that all collisions still work as you’d expect.
Hope this helps.
