Ghostbusters Ecto1

Mostly finished.Had some troubles with the render farm so sampling is a mess but ya get the picture.
Will revisit the project in the future and rerender.This will do for now.I will also release the drivable Ecto 1 model.

It was very limited in the time it would allow on each frame. 20 mins on an animation. So i had to remove the compositing and smoke simulations, and still it wouldn’t render.
Sometimes the frames would complete, other times the exact same frames would fail.

Good mechanics on the sharp turns out of the old fire house. Since it was converted from an old hearse, I’d expect a little more obvious wear & tear & scuffing, maybe occasional blots of ectoplasm? :wink:

Absolutely! I had to stop at the tiny tiny detail as the project had gone on long enough.When i revisit i will indeed add a final layer of grunge,filth,rust,scratches etc.Thanks

Also i was gonna have a bit of pink slime bubbling up from a sewer cap.:slight_smile:

Very nice animation and compositing, would love to see it with all effects and higher samples.

You should try talking to GarageFarm.NET, they might render that animation for you for very little cost if your pitch is good enough and if they like your project. I know they’ve helped and even sponsored many projects.

i also can’t wait to see it with all the fx and samples. I have all the work done, just outputting it is the problem.My machine takes about 9 hours a frame.

WOW, love it… It’s a shame about the noisy sampling, but i can tell that the materials and lighting are great even from the low res video…

Stunning work! Very clean animations! the suspension mechanics for the hearst are brilliant!

I hope you can get a chance to render out a version with all of the extra details and compositor effects that you initially intended for this project, like the smoke simulation :slight_smile:
