I’m working on this T-Rex model for my short film that I just recently started filming. The film will take place in an alternate history where dinosaurs and humans live side by side. In the world of the film, this will be a fictious subspecies of t-rex called giant rex, growing even bigger than common t-rexes. The modeling has been surprisingly hard and time consuming, even though I started with the iguanodon model as a base mesh to speed up things and not having to start weight painting and rigging from absolute zero. The texture is temporary to give some idea what it would look in its final form. It’s just a CC0 image texture (from Pexels by the user Schwoaze) that I projected and manually adjusted the uv maps into. I also widened some areas of the head in GIMP to get the texture to wrap around the head a bit better.
