My intention is to make some sort of crazy finish that sort of “sunbursts” into black around the edges, I’ve thrown quite a few image textures at this for sure though, we shall see 
I would of course add a subtexture underneath of real mahogany for a really small bump.

This is actually Blender’s Marble texture, Cube mapping, no UV unwrapping. I adjusted the x, y, and z in the texture’s Mapping settings, but I think it looks pretty cool if you ask me
I’m tempted to add a Vicky’s Guitar Emporium store at the Harley Hotel & Casino:) The both look great Vicky, and the wood one gets about as close as I have seen using a BI procedural…well done.
