Doesn’t seem there are people building for GraphicAll, any particular reason? There also were talk about InkScape builds at GA but that also seemed to be wishful thinking… 
I wish gimp would do static builds like Blender, they certainly would get a bit of testing on my box
I d/l the tarball already, I’ll check out if I can somewhat easily build it in windows tomorrow, and if so, I post it up here. But I fear building GIMP on windows is somewhat of a timeconsuming adventure I can’t afford at the moment - if it was a walk in the park there’d be build all over the place already.

Apparently there are several problems with official 2.8 RC1 that the Partha builds do not have :

I think i’ll stay with my portable 2.7.6 from Partha for a much longer time than i thought, at least until he releases another build
I don’t have Cygwin installed atm, else I’d start compiling myself, truth be told, I am too lazy and got too much other stuff to do.
More good news. 2.8 has no stable release yet, but the GIMP devs already have a 2.9 development version with most of the code ported to GEGL. GIMP 2.10 will be released completely GEGL based.

Stable was released today, and only for Linux, neither for OSX nor Windows.
RC1 was released, like originally posted a month ago, however without single window and other stuff for the windows builds.
Yeah, I hope they get a stable 2.8 build for Windows out soon. I’m so excited!

There seems to be a bug in loading some jpeg files. It’s quite annoying.

What do you mean, search? Native Mac builds are right at theofficial website.
