Global Illumination in UPBGE

Is a different version of global illumination ever going to be implemented in UPBGE. Eevee Next is going to introduce Horizon Based GI but as far as I know, its a screen space effect.
I was reading that ARMORY, another Blender-based engine uses a combination of voxel cone-tracing and screen-space ray-tracing https://github.com/armory3d/armory/wiki/global_illumination .
Armory is open-source so can UPBGE implement the one used in Armory or is not allowed to copy functionalitiesas they are from other open-source software.
