Please tell me how to make this better besides pointing out the obvious. (I know I dosn’t have a trigger I haven’t modeled that yet.

you may want to lighten the textures a little bit and decrease the specularity.

Better lighting would be a place to start, I can hardly see anything on it.

Indeed, less spec would be better. Also, the front bit is a bit too thick along the Z axis. Here is an image that shows the gun in side profile like your first image.

Your shapes are relatively accurate and this shouldn’t be too much more work to get it rendering good. I think you should very carefully re dine all edges on the gun. The sharpness and smoothness of the edges (the refrence picture provided shows quite a few edges that are either smoother or harder then you currently have modeled) will bring out a much more realistic feel. Currently it seems a tad square.

You should also enhance the reverse curve on the front of the trigger guard, and possibly contour the hand grip a bit.
