Glossy surface

I tried a couple of similar threads here. But I am still unclear. How can I make the matte like surface of the Cube glossy ? Thanks.

Is that in render view or solid view?

If thats in render view, just go to material sertings and turn down the roughness and maybe metallic if you want that.

If its in solid view, go to materials and under viewport, turn down specular/ roughness

Yes, it is " render preview ". I tried the above, but it is still not glossy. Please see

My guess is, that it is glossy but hardly visible, because there is nothing to reflect.

To quickly check this you could uncheck the Scene World in the Viewport Shading dialog. This won’t be rendered though.
