That looks really neat. Have you considered trying to add some dust around the bottom of the moon so it doesn’t have such a hard edge where it intersects the sand? That might give it a more interactive feel.

Ok, because your idea got my mind rolling, I had to try it with some dust around the base. I hope you don’t mind. Your lighting setup is really neat - both the glow from the moon and that really soft haze like early morning. I like it better than this. But the moon in the desert is begging for a story… so I threw in a couple camels, people and helicopters and asked ChatGPT to give me a news story :).
