Goblin

It was new challenge for my at making a character mixed between stylized and realistic, the concept made by Kostaya Che, I uses zbrush and blender and substance painter.
I also used Auto Eye and 3D Hair Brush addons, and those addon are really great.
Thanks for watching.

Yes it looks pro.

Pardon me if I ask you a question. You were so kind to show us your UV layout and I noticed you aligned very well the face.

I was doing some characters, and for my UVs I was mainly relying on Uvpackmaster, which is an addon that aligns UVs, works similar to rizom. Well, some times the addon places the face in a diagonal direction, and I consider it “OK”… but most of the people I see online tend to align the face as you do. So I have to assume there is a reason, and I am not aware of that.

I was thinking it was a good idea to take as much texture space as possible, is my assumption wrong? Apparently yes, since all people I see online do it diffrently, either aligning the face like you do, or in the opposite direction. Is it a preference or there is another reason?

Thanks for an eventual reply. In any case you did a good job.

Thanks for your opinion, yes I used uvpack master and I forgot to mention that.
I actually still don’t know why I must leave much space between the uv or align them like mirror cuz Id did’t found any problems at all, I avoid doing those methods cuz I think I waste pixels, so I have to make udims and sometimes I don’t have to make udims, so I have to use all the spaces.
