Hi, this image has a very nice gold-like material. It would be nice to know how to make something like it. Thanks
this is more like yellow then gold !
is this a plastic or metal thing ?
you can add a PBR node adjust color
then decide if you want a metal or plastic look !
to get more reflections you should add a HDRI enviro image on world !
happy bl
This is what I came up with after a few minutes of goofing around.
Orange diffuse, full specular, middle low roughness, and a very, very slight orange subsurface scatter.
Awesome ! thanks.
How did you make the waves so perfect ? I used a cylinder, duplicate > scale > difference. Now I have a ring. And I used wireframe + Edit mode grabbed vertices and Moved them up. It is quite a compromise because there are no edges between these points and CTRL + R was not dividing the top area of the ring. Thanks
It’s all just subdivision surfaces and edge bevels. Here’s my file if you want an indepth look at it.
Crown.blend (891.1 KB)
Edit: and it sounds like you’re making the situation more complicated than it needs to be. For your basic shape, you just need one cylinder. Slap one into your scene, grab the top and bottom faces, inset them, then bridge the two together to get your hollow cylinder shape. Everything from there is just tweaking.
It works, thanks
