No, that should be What’s, or What is.

What’s the latest news about the next blender movie project

There’s probably going to be another project sometime in the future.

last i read was that project mango would start in sept 2011.

Sure, why not?

exactly what will movie be about?

Something…interesting?

is blender technically up to the challenge?

Of course blender is. The question is whether the people the choose will be able to use it correctly.

do people want a story or more of a game trailer type animation with no story just high impact?

Everything needs a story. Just sayin’.

who will be [the] director?

Someone chosen for his (or her) directorial skills and/or talent.

will there be community involvement(modeling sprint)?

Who knows?

blend on!

:stuck_out_tongue:

No offense… but that was a less than respectful way to respond to someone’s legitimate question. And you should know better than to call out grammatical errors on these forums, where the guarantee that English is the native language of the poster is slim to none.

Mango will depend on whether the matchmoving and compositing tools will become adequate to the task in time, a decision of go/no go will be in Septemberish, actual start would be two or three months later. All of that is very much ‘up in the air’.

While the technical goals have been decided in broad strokes, artistic goals tend to depend on what the sponsor and potential director want (although they can be partially determined by technical goals also).
