Grainy Plastic Material

Hello

Im trying to create a grainy plastic material, similar to what you see on the new PS4 (see image)

I originally thought that a noise texture with bump would work, but I can’t seem to get anything to look right at the moment. If anyone could help, then id appreciate it

Perhaps show us what you have already by including the blend file.

A good start would be to use a high-frequency noise texture for use as a bumpmap (with the strength set to a low value).

Also, you might want to use the GGX shading mode for this when using the glossy shader rather than Beckmann (as it will produce a rougher look).

Hi @peter18, a starting point can be use a Voronoi Texture in this way:

I have used it for bumping and color mixing.

The colors in the color ramp node are: #27292C, #111112 and #313134. Also I have set a low strength in the Bump node and a low glossiness for this material.
