Grid disappears when use shortcut numpad 1, 3

Whenever I use the shortcuts Numpad 1, Numpad 3 the grid disappears and I am left with a totally black background without any axis.

This is why I’m currently stuck in my tutorial as I cannot work on the object without the axis.

On Numpad 7 the grid stays.

Why is there no grid and how can I make it appear?

Thanks!

Perhaps your scene’s global viewport camera has clipping that is too small or big:

No, RPaladin, the settings on my Blender are precisely the same.

I would like to attach the screenshot via Numpad 1 (with numpad 3) but there is no attach button.

Did the problem occurs in all files also new ones or just for your tutorial file?
Can you upload your .blend-file with that issue?

Thanks, rigoletto, the problem is with all files. I open up a new file with the cube in it, and on numpad 1 and numpad 3 all axis and the grid is gone.

It’s because your grid isn’t turned on, just the floor:
