Lately I feel a lot of grief.
From an unnamed Beksinski painting, though I scrapped the idea of the figure “coming through” the surface of the canvas.
I started with Chris Jones’s body rig, played with a couple of geometry nodes to block out the exploding of a duplicate mesh, then sculpted mostly with cloth brush and clay, joined the pieces in nodes, scattered points on mesh, point cloud to volume, volume to mesh, displace, then final sculpt, materials and render, then composited in Photoshop.
