Creating a concept style from scratch can be difficult, but adapting that 2d image to a 3d scene can be just as hard! Awesome job, both of you!

Actually, I did most of the modeling and coloring using MagicaCSG, a free 3D editor, then exported the scene to Blender for some minor fine-tuning and then rendering.
