H6 Julietta Concept Car – Full Exterior & Interior Practice

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to share one of my recent personal projects – a detailed model of a concept car called H6 Julietta, which includes both exterior and interior work, created entirely in Blender.

This project was my way of leveling up in modeling, vehicle detailing, and getting deeper into the full pipeline: from guide mesh to final render. The model is based on the amazing course “3D Cars: Inside and Out” by Chris Plush (CG Masters), which I highly recommend to anyone interested in vehicles.

The car design itself is inspired by the sleek and futuristic concept by Lee Rosario – big thanks to him for such a beautiful original!

My main focus was not just replicating the shapes, but understanding automotive design principles and maintaining clean topology with attention to real-world structure. I also modeled the interior (dashboard, seats, doors, etc.) to better understand how everything connects in a believable way.
All renders are done in Cycles.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or tips from other vehicle artists here — always looking to grow and improve!

I’d be happy if you check out the full post on ArtStation and leave a like or comment :blue_heart:

CGMasters course is well worth the money, time, and effort. Your work here is a testament to what good training and hard effort can produce. Congrats.

First off - this is really(!) nice work, both the render and design itself. You have a very good eye for both. I’ve seen a lot of people miss the mark when designing a concept car, and you’ve really hit it nicely.

Some suggestions :

wheel

The brake discs (red) - the bump/color mapping here looks too distinctly ridged; in real life, a disc with that much ridge would be recommended for replacement (and the brake pads, as well). Try to get it a bit more anisotropic, and more smooth. Not a mirror or perfect surface, but tone down what’s going on there.

Lugs (blue) - these look too small to me, maybe increase size by 50-70% in diameter.

Center cap (green) - all of them on the car look perfectly aligned in rotation - mix it up.

Tow hook (red) - i don’t love the carbon fiber element of that; i think going with pure black for the whole piece would add more contrast. Consider making the inside of the loop more rounded, and less hexagon.

Small Grills (green) - matches the larger grill, but I wonder if it’s too much hexagon going on. That’s a matter of personal taste, many car people would love it.

Large Grill (blue) - I don’t love the smaller hex, under the larger hex. I’d just go with the large hex.

fuel

Fuel cap - love the recess idea, but consider adding some sort of connector (perhaps a different piece, solid color) to fill that gap between the panel and the cap.

intakes

Side intakes - give those edges a slight round, they’re too sharp.

I hope those don’t seem overly critical, but I’m mentioning them only because the overall is great, and these little details might be worth pondering for that extra 1%. Think of it as - the better your work, the more closely I’m looking at it.

Well done.
