Although lately, I have been occasionally doing a half, then mirroring, usually, I just do both sides at once. Anything I do to one side, I do to the other side before I get too far along. I think this results in a slightly more natural head, since in real life, heads are not entirely symmetrical.

I’m going to model my face, but not by using paint… I’m using cut up post-it notes that are really small
lol didn’t work sorry.
that was the first thing i tried.
the paint i used was “Gouache” it is 100% waterbased, and will dry but never loose its solubility. this means it comes off very very easily.
so IMO the paint i used was better than post its anyway ha ha ha.
