Hair baking?

can particle systems, specifically hair, be baked? Like for instance, each of the BBB characters has ALOT of hair, and when i get to final renders i’d like to be able to make them run as smoothly as possible without resorting to (which is great by the way, but it’d be quicker to render on my laptop atm).

yeah you can bake the dynamics. Its under the particle tab under the cache section

only the hair dynamics can be baked, if you haven’t got this function enabled the option bake is not there.
