Hair geometry nodes dissapear after some frames

I have an animation of a person walking and I made the hair with the geometry nodes asset browser. I am attaching the screenshots of the modifier tab with the hair geo nodes. Also the video shows how the hair dissapear around frame 60 and reappear around frame 260.
I am not familiar with geometry nodes and I can not find anywhere something about frames or someone that has the same problem. Please help

I haven’t tried hair with a walk cycle so this might not help, but try to look at this through a camera instead of the viewport… it certainly looks like it could have something to do with the clipping distance of the viewport, perhaps it you increased that it might work, or through the camera with a focus on the face…

you need surface deform

if you have that checked

surface deform under this geometry node, if it is off you need surface deform above of interpolated geometry node

I have surface deform above all other modifiers, I just didnt include it on the screenshots.
When I check Surface Rest Position the hair disappear even in the frames that appeared before…

Didn’t work… I increase the viewport clipping distance and saw it through a camera but it still happens…
It is also not a location error since wherever I move the armature the hair stills disappear in the same frames

Hi, If you could post the file or link it you will get better help.

alright i will post the link

The link to the Drive with the file

I had a look at your file and it’s the way you have parented the hair object.
You need to reparent to the head bone.
See the image.
You still have a problem with the clothing.

Still don’t know what happened with the cloth but i can import the alembic file again and figure it out from there.

You welcome. The clothing you can parent to armature in rest pose with automatic weights. Make sure the armature constraint moves to first.
The weights will need tweaking.

I fixed it by importing the alembic file again from Marvelous. It had the same animation as the body so all I had to do was place it in the correct position on the armature and they both walk together again!

Excellent, i have never used Marvelous cloth.

It is the simplest thing really if you want to make simple garments like this one without any layers etc. And much more accurate in cloth sims.
