halos and lightsaber blades

Hi. I was trying to make a lightsaber with Blender to animate. I will try the Glow plug in, but I would like to try halos. I was having trouble with it and asked some questions and stuff here: https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=266641. I never got it to work. Maybe someone can help me? Thanks.

PS I am not looking to post process with Photoshop, I would like to do it in Blender if possible.

try adjusting the hardness and size of the halos, and also the alpha should probably be waaaay down.

There’s a lightsaber blade sequence plugin over in the Python/Plugin-in forum that works pretty well. If your using Windows (the OS) the DLL is available from that thread as well.
