Most of if created in Blender 2.67 (some in earlier Blender version).
I was watching the Pixar “Cars 2” movie and thought! WOW!! I have to create a own version of one of those For a while ago I followed the Jonathan Ws car tut on Cgcookie and used few of the body parts I had created then.
The goal was also to come as closed as possible to the shapes, materials and textures feeling I got from the movie but in the same time wanted to add something of my own. That said, I have worked a lot in the node compositor.
Aboutr that - is there any chance you could share some screen shots of your shader trees or just some explanations of how you got the materials set up?
This is a really fun image… I love how you did the floor texture. The car is great of course his front bumpers look a little too close to the ground, but just a really cool render and modeling.
Lightning is also very important! I use in this scene different emission values and colors.
I have been using Blender for the past 7 years and every time I create something in it, I get blown away by its all around capacity I hope you feel the same
