happy day picture

I made this image today, it should look more artistic than real. I’ ve tested some weather fx like mist and clouds…

I know that the particle grass looks bad, does anyone have a good grass tutorial?

What do you think ?

Indeed the grass needs some work. I like the way the roots go towards the tree. The mist/clouds, look nice, the way they are both behind and infront of the tree. Maybe you want to make the mountain in the back a little less visible through the mist. It seems like either the mountain is really close/small or that the mist is 2D…

No, that’s completly blender. I’ll fix the problems with the mist and the grass…

nice scene, great tree model, but texture a lil off… for grass, model a clump and duplivert it, that should look cool =)
definitely a happy scene, definitely

What I usually do is model a single blade, copy the terrain and subdivide smooth {depending on how thick I want the grass}, then use it to duplivert the grass. Then I make the duplis of the grass and join them together, then play around with the PET and the noise button and stuff to get it less regular looking…

VERY cool.
