Harley and Ivy

Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy from the Harley Quinn Animated Series. Pose taken from Alex Ross painting of Harley and Joker.

Rendered in Eevee, because I don’t have the patience to set up lighting in Cycles :stuck_out_tongue:

Initially only wanted to do portraits:

Based on this painting by Alex Ross:

Great work, maybe an alternative version with Harl’s dinner dress?

Great work, congrats.

What dinner dress? The only dress I remember is the one from the wedding, and that one was awful.

I was thinking of this one, is it as bad as the one you were thinking?

No, this one looks nice and on theme, but I completely forgot about it! If I ever make an alt version, then this is going to be the dress Harley is wearing. Thanks!

Hi, wow! Amazing work! Do you sell the 3d files?

No, I no longer have the files, they got lost when I was switching PCs. And even if I did, selling them would probably result in a nice letter from Disney or Amazon or whoever owns these two now.

Bro you are not selling an intellectual property, is your own work and used that as inspiration :joy::sweat_smile:

Not giving legal advice, but isn’t “Profiting off IP without signed agreement” the actual definition of Copyright Infringement?

Not arguing the ethics of it, but legally, that’s what it means.

Bittersweet Symphony and The Rolling Stones come to mind…

That one specifically it was a very dirty move from them, until this decade they gave back the rights to The Verve…

In other example there is Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know, in which he sample someone’s guitar riff or something and therefore didn’t make much money from it, but also didn’t want to become that kind of music artist therefore turning down later millionaire deals due his +2B song hit in youtube, so there goes his one hit wonder…

Go and try to sell something with Batman or Spider-man on it, see how fast they come after you.

Have you seen how many custom figurines and else from those are sold these days and bought by fans or collectors?

Who makes those custom figurines? I’ll bet it’s people or companies that have a license to do it.

Sure, I guess you could go guerrilla and sell custom models on some model site, but that puts you at risk of getting a legal warning from the owners of those characters.
