I’m doing my first car and I need a easy way to cut seams and door seams

There are several ways to do door seams. There are also quite a few tutorials on the web on how to do them. I know then I tried to do my first door seam it took quite a few goes to get it correct.
If you have a model under way post a screen grab of where you’re at and try and highlight the problem.
Here are the last few screens.
I could do a video tut but don’t have a web site to be able to post it.

Thats awsome…exactly what i want to do but what command are you using, when you say select area for trim? I can’t see the buttons on the pics
There are no buttons. You need to create the area that will become the trim. Then select it manually and start the extrude and edge sharpen process.

I have the shape of the doors in a mesh, I’ll try this see what happens.
