i guys, i’m making my own Harley.
Here some picture…
It’s looking really good so far.
how do you show the solid model with wireframes. It’s something I haven’t been able to do.
Wires look really good, however have you considered attaching some of the stuff rather than poke them through each other to make it look like they’re attached?
The areas circled in red, but apologies in advance if they’re already attached to each other!
Attachments
Thank you InKontrol, indeed only the fork is attached.
It isn’t always necessary to ‘attach’ your mesh, intersection is fine but you do need to do it cleanly so that it is less noticeable - I mean that in the area on the tank, your intersection seems ot be ‘poking out’.
Very nice work btw, very clean
I try to do that, Craig!
I believe you can select to render the mesh from the outliner. Although I have never done it. I usually just do a screen shot the use a photo editor to crop out the GUI. So that, I believe answers your question.
Just do a screen shot, or check the outliner, I am sure I have seen a way to set it to render the mesh somewhere. May be wrong though.
Looking good, can’t wait to see the finished product.
Coming along nicely!
First time I’ve seen a Harley modeled here… it’s looking really nice, I wonder if the seat shouldn’t be somewhat wider, based on the top view render you posted… I’ll be following this one for sure.
Maybe you’re right. It’s difficult for me references in top view
Hi guys, this is a test on materials setting.
What do you think??
I’m also thinking about the rest of the scene… :spin:
Looks very nice and shiny Lots of Chrome I see!
Looks lovely, go for it.
Really GREAT … I would think about adding some rubber treading on to the front chrome foot rests… maybe take a look at HD’s website for reference. The reflectors look a little flat to me, maybe consider modeling or texturing some kind of little detail with some bump. It is most likely is caused by the lighting, but the handlebar and left mirror don’t appear to be chrome.
You have done an exceptional job on this so far, When it is completed, It definitely needs some renders outdoors… Harleys don’t like sitting in the showroom
Thak you guys!
@harleynut97: yes, the reflectors are not finished. The handlebar and the left mirror have carpaint material, to see if it could be better, but i think i’ll go to chrome.
Now I prepare the scene… outdoor of course
My apologies… when I originally looked at the image I did not click on the larger view. I see you already have rubber on footrests. Yes, I think chrome would be the way to go on the handle bars and mirrors. You might want to think about turnsignals and a kickstand.
