Head Sculpt Critique

I sculpted this head. Aside from the fact that there are no ears, what anatomical problems do you see? I am especially interested in how I can make the transition from head to neck/upper torso better.

The grey matcap is better IMO for judging forms. Could you post a front and side ortho view of the head?

Lookin pretty good, btw.

Here you go! I totally reworked the ear and did some other changes, too.

Beautiful!

I edited the side profile image, I hope you don’t mind.

The only thing obviously incorrect is the placement of the ear. It is too high when usually the top of the ear lines up with the top of eyelid and the bottom ear with bottom of nose.

The rest are just suggestions:

  • make the brow more prominent and the nose bridge curve outward for a more masculine look.
  • make the jaw straighter and further back as indicated by black line.
  • top bump of cranium should be further back as well.
  • make the neck longer.

The next step is to put more shapes and forms (secondary details):

Keep rockin!

Thanks a lot for the help- especially the suggestion to make the neck longer. I followed the other ideas only loosely, as I was getting pretty close to the person that I was trying to emulate. Eventually, I will probably post a finished final sculpt. Thanks! (here is where I am right now.)
