hehe i got sli

i just ordered another 8800gt so i could slap mine in sli
ive got the stock one that came with my pc an evga 8800gt super clocked
and now this one MSI 8800gt oc

now bringing my total system specs up to
graphics: 2 8800gt’s in sli
mobo: evga 680i revision a
cpu: intel core 2 duo e6750
ram: 2x1gig mushkin extreme ram ddr2 800
hdd: some sata2 samsung drive

so as you can expect i cant wait for it to get here so i can slap them in sli and lay down the law on some games

here’s hoping those two cards will run together.

Run the BGE with that setup:eek:

According to GameSpot it even that still can’t play Crysis at max at 60 FPS:spin:

Thanks for making us all feel bad. I hope it melts.

I play Crysis max at 40FPS thats good nuff for me

why wouldn’t they

ahh dont feel too bad im sure one day you can be as cool as i am
and even if they do melt they will both be replaced for free so hope all you want

Being from different manufacturers it may be a little riskier, but they should work. Being that one of them is Overclocked they may have dificulties.

I have had SLi since the first and lowest spec ones available came out… the 6600… I don’t think i will get Sli again. it was always hit or miss whether it made things faster, or just more unstable. I swear oblivion was faster with a single GPU. But then again they were the first.

Good luck, i hope they work well for you.

nah the manufacturer shouldn’t matter and they only have different clock speeds by about 60mhz so it wont be hard to bring them both to the same clock speeds by either under clocking of over clocking

Now you one of the cool people now.

ahh thank you kbot

I am getting dual 8800gt’s too. Let us know how well it works for you.

dual 9600gt here

I just want to be able to play Battle for Middle-Earth 2 at 1280 x 960 and all other settings maxed out with measly 4x antialiasing. :frowning:

well so far just one is working out like a dream
i can play oblivion on full settings with new textures ranging from 2 to 4x as big as the old ones at 1680x1050 and i still get 60fps on average but because of my hard drive and the slow interface for the memory on the 8800gt it stutters from time to time and drops to about 25-30 fps
so i imagine 2 of them will be one of the best decisions i have ever made
and the next upgrade im going to make is a couple of the new Seagate hard drives with a 32mb cash in raid 0 so that should fix the stuttering problem
