Ahh…I used a grunge map for this. The trick with metals is how you texture it, It should be roughly in this order:

  1. Bump map
  2. Colour Map
  3. Decal maps (of which there were various)
  4. Reflection Map
  5. Grunge Map (This is the one that makes it look scratched, and any rusty metal texture should suffice)

The grunge map’s col value should be roughly about .200 so the textures underneath can be seen properly. That’s about it, really.
