another “Sculpt mode” WIP. I’m trying to guess how to convert the hi-res model into a normal map to animate this beast.

That’s the scariest ‘damned’ duck I’ve ever seen! Looking forward to seeing your animation attempts. You say you sculpted all of it?

Yes, it has 6 iterations of multires, all sculpted. Don’t know the polycount, though. I don’t even know were’s the poly counter in blender! i’m watching tutorials on extracting normal maps right now, I hope it won’t be too difficult.

I’ve managed to generate and apply the normal map on the low resolution mesh, although with loss of detail. Now I have to put multiple materials on the model

Hmm. Makes me wonder what the ducks in “Twilight Princess” would look like as twilit creatures…

Hellduck textured (almost, specular maps are not done yet) with normal maps, soft bodies, armature and a little silly animation, just for test and learning purposses. This is the first time I do all these things in blender with the exception of modeling an texturing so be easy on me:D
