Hello its possible edit wreckfest cars in blender

I can’t edit this car in blender and it’s very difficult thanks if you have a step by step I don’t think I’ll be able to do it alone I have no idea

Thanks

when you say you can’t edit it… do you mean you can’t get it into Blender to begin with? or that you’re trying to do something specific to it you don’t know how to? what is it you’re after doing to this poor '57 Chevy?

I used ninja ripper and yes I know how to put this car in blender the bad thing is that I can’t edit There are many parts I thought about modeling but I have a lot of difficulty I have no patience I’m sorry I’m asking for help

okay, so you’ve got it in blender, and it’s not actually fighting you editing the mesh, it’s more a case of “how” it seems.

so, first come up with a plan. this will help simplify it into much easier to do steps. what is it you want to edit on the car? try to break that down into smaller steps.

for instance: “I wanna make it street legal” would logically go: 1) need to replace the exhaust system (1a replace headers to muffler (no catalic converter on this car), 1b) muffler, 1c) rear exhaust pip, and mebbe custom tips), 2) need to add glass window, 3) need to add mirrors (3a: rear view, 3b: drivers side mirror, etc); 4: front bumper, 5: grill, etc.

the idea is to break it down into as small manageable chunks as possible. once you have a better feel of ‘what’ you want to do, then comes the research. looking at photos of rear view mirrors to see how you’ll model those. what color paints would have been used on factory '57’s if you’re not going custom. what did the hood ornaments look like (removed on this model), whatever it is you’re going to want to be working on.

once you have all that down, then you can start working on the “how do i” do whatever it is you’re doing, a step at a time. start with something small, things that you don’t need to see the whole car for. you can hide all the parts in blender for things you’re not working on, which makes it easier to just deal with what you need to for the moment. working on the side mirror? you only really need the door to attach it to, and then only while you are modelling the base of the mirror. yes, you’ll want to see it on the whole car to make sure you’ve got the scaling/size of it right, but most of the time, you don’t need to see the rest of the car… that’s just stuff getting in your way.
