Hello, I’m a solo dev for a Ren’py game and while I have learned a great deal about Blender… I’m pretty far from an actual modeler.
I bought a model that I’m using for renders in the game, but it didn’t come with parts necessary for a NSFW game namely a vagina, so I found a free use model and went to apply it but… I can’t quite get it to look right. I’m first and foremost a programmer, so modeling is outside my skill set.
So I was hoping someone would be willing to assist me with this. I don’t have money to offer, otherwise I wouldn’t be asking for a volunteer, but you’ll get credit in-game if you so choose. I know some don’t want association with a NSFW project.
It’s not a realistic model, but anime stylized, not sure if that makes it easier or more difficult to work with.
If you’re willing to help, my discord is “hakosgames”. Looking forward to hopefully hearing from someone.
Do you actually need a vagina or just a vulva? I’m not being pedantic, it makes a massive difference in what you would need to do. A vagina would require adding a continuous hole, which would require massive topology changes. On the other hand, a vulva by itself could just be a texture, no topology changes needed
The former, which is likely why it’s so difficult for me presumably.
I do have a freely made model that I was trying to attach. That model vagina already has everything on it and in it. I just can’t get it to look right when attaching it to the body.
I’ve been able to join them while preserving the UV maps as far as I can tell, but as for merging vertices and making it look nice, I’m at a loss.
Ok, well your current problem is that you’re trying to add a vagina to a model that doesn’t have the topological structure to support one. You have to redo all of the loops in the pelvis area to support it- you’ll likely need to remove everything from the hip bones to the crotch and redo it. You can’t really Frankenstein a hole into a model that doesn’t have support loops for it. However, what you can do is determine if you actually need to do this the hard way. What would be infinitely easier would be to find a model that already has the anatomy you need (not hard to do) and then tweak the proportions so it looks like your existing model. This would be much, much, simpler. If you need the head and the crotch in the same shot, you can cut the head off your current model and move it to the anatomically correct one.
I don’t know that I know enough Blender to easily change the proportions of a model to fit another, preserving how the shapekeys and everything alter it. I’m not a modeler as I mentioned.
This is why I’m looking for a volunteer. I appreciate the advice though.
Hey, you can mark this as closed (I am unsure of how to do so myself). Someone did reach out to me and we managed to come up with a solution that worked for my purposes.
