Help needed on a Quake3-Engine based game.

Greetings!

I’m creating a game based on the ioquake3 engine, I’m making it in Linux-Ubuntu and I’m modelling in Blender.

I’ve created all the weapons and some items, but there are still a lot to do and I really need some help. The name of the game is “Ghastly Arena”, a darker version of the engine, with some dark themes. I’ve made 2 deathmatch maps already and some changes in the menus. All the weapons and items names are new and I’m creating the new icons too, all very new.

The problem is: It’s too much work to do! I’m looking for some help, if you want to help, answer me here and I’ll post some screenshots of the game, then I’ll upload it for you to test and begin working. Since I’ve not created any characters yet, I use the Open Arena’s bots to play the game (The characters need to be changed).

IT IS FUCKING BLOODY HARD AS HELL to make them and animate them and make they work beautifully inside the game.

It’s an open-source project.

Levelshot of the two levels I’ve created until now.

Hey there,

I’m a 27-year-old grad student in the US. I recently learned about ioquake and am interested in working on creating a new game using the engine. I have coding experience and experience creating 2D digital art, and I have blender installed on my Windows machine. However, while I’m familiar with basic 3D modelling concepts, I’m new to using Blender, and I’ve never worked with the ioquake engine before.

I’d welcome the opportunity to learn about the engine or about creating models with Blender and importing them into a game if there is any way I can help you with your work.

Regards,
