Help us work out how to align this base mesh with this 3D scan!

Hey there BlenderArtists!

We are looking for a Blender expert to help us align a character mesh with a 3D scan, see below:


On the left is our base mesh with the correct topology. On the right hand side is our 3D scan (lots of verts). We are currently using a combination of shrinkwrapping and sculpting to help get the face on the left to match the face on the right but we can’t help but wonder if there is an easier way to do this. Can you think of anything? Is there a tool or add-on that could help us?

Houdini offers a good wrap tool as well
