as I don’t know how to approach this correctly. I want it to have perfect topology
and be completely symmetrical. What I have now is:
In terms of symmetry you would use a mirror modifier on x and y, with clipping enabled. As for perfect topology, there is no such thing. Just different topologies. In general n-gons are considered not good, here’s a few quad topologies to give you some ideas.
