Help with bump map

Hi all!

Have a soft plastic case for a cell phone. Trying to bump map some details onto this case and I’m getting strange results. Clearly I don’t understand what I am doing here.

Here’s the case with bump map:

and my .blend file:

Clearly, I’m not doing the bump mapping correctly, but I don’t understand where my problem is…

Hard to tell without the image packaged with it, but if you just want the visual appearance of the bump, and you have a greyscale image, this would work:

the displacement channel in the material output CAN display as a bump map, but its usually used to drive mesh displacement, and as you’re using Eevee, i’m going to assume you just want the visual display.

Thanks @Jakebane - that fixed it.

I’ve been away from blender for a few years, last version I used was 2.76. I was also a BI render guy… so I guess I have a few things to learn!
