im having issues was wondering if someone could help im trying to get a crease on the small EDGE of this piece but not on the outer edge of the ring
this next picture shows the creases i DO NOT WANT ON THE OUTTER PART OF THER RING just the creases on the lip.

More geometry, gradual change in face size
Your sub-D cage is too low poly to give you what you want. You need to add more loops to control that curve better. More loops AKA MOAR GEO will reduce the pinching effect you’re getting there.
