I felt like the bestest henchman needed some love after the venture bros season 7 finale earlier this year.
This dude has been another great learning experience for me. Made basically entirely in Blender. Retopo with CgCookie’s Retopoflow. YanSculpts has a great skin shader tutorial that served as the base for the shader I ended up creating, so thanks to him. Textures were largely done in blender’s texture paint toolset, which was new for me, but photoshop had play a supporting role there. Rigged with BlenRig 5, which is a disaster in terms of documentation, but I’m starting to figure it out haha. Rendered in Cycles, which gets better every day.
