is it just me or shift+m doesn’t work? how do i link the lamps to other layers now?

i don’t want to move the lamp to another layer.i want to link a lamp to another layer so the objects in that layer get iluminated as the objects in the main layer where that lamp is located.that was done before by pressing shift+m, but now it doesn’t work :-? .anybody knows how it’s done now?please help.

then shift+click on the additional layers you want the lamp to be on
also, the same thing is in the object buttons on the draw tab
ok…got it.since they changed that,i didn’t know how to do it anymore.thanx man.
