Hide and Fix Selected vertices
Proportional edits can be left unaffected while polygons remain visible.
- Vertex is hidden with the Face displayed
- Proportional edit is not affected
- Not selected by box selection etc.
- Ctrl + Shift + H
- Ctrl + Shift + Alt + H (Unselected)
- Mesh → Show/Hide → ‘Hide Only Vertex’
I updated Saidenka’s Scramble Addon feature to Blender2.8.

Must have add-on. Thank you. This is what need when work with proportional editing. I’m still wonder why the Blender still doesn’t have the ability to block vertices like in this add-on.
ver1.0.4 Added option to hide only vertices (non-selected)
Added an option to hide only unselected vertices.
- Keymap: Shift + Ctrl + Alt + H
ver1.0.3 Supports editing of multiple objects
Supported processing for multiple selection objects during simultaneous editing.
ver1.0.2 Supports curve points
Added support for hiding only points of curve objects.
It can be accessed from the same menu position and keymap as the mesh.
Yey! I’ve finally found an analog to Modo’s lock tool .
Great addition to the Blender tools! Thank you so much @Bookyakuno for this VERY handy addon!
Do you have any plans to make it workable in Sculpting mode also?
It seems that the function of this add-on cannot be used because the hidden information of only the vertex is initialized when shifting to sculpt mode.
Ok, I see
It would be quite handy to lock some area, and use a sculpting brush for fast tweaking (just thoughts)
@Bookyakuno Thank you very much for this add-on, it is super useful.
